Chhem K. is 26 years old and lives with her husband in the Kampong Chhnang province. She works in a grocery store, making around US$6 of profit per day, while her husband, wearing the blue shirt pictured here, earns about US$3.50 a day working as a mechanic, fixing TVs and radios. He also fixes the second-hand products and resells them to people in the area. This couple has one little child. Chhem would like to take out a loan to purchase old televisions, radios and tape recorders and other tools. The rest of the loan will be used to expand grocery products.
