Celestina R. M. lives with her children and grandchildren, who are very supportive of her. They live in the department of Ahuachapán. Celestina has been sewing clothes since she was fifteen. Forty-five years later, she is still sewing. This is how she has supported her children. Celestina serves her customers with the same dedication she had when she started her tailoring business. She does so from her own house, though in some cases she does have to make trips to other addresses. Celestina’s goal is to buy a new sewing machine, since the one she has now is rather old. This would help her business because a new machine would sew much more quickly. Due to her high level of competence, Celestina is requesting a loan with which to improve her service with the newer, higher-functioning sewing machine. This will increase her income and make her better able to support her family.
