http://www.sem-fund.org/mekhe.php :
Thanks to the commerce that has enabled them to get organized, to rise to responsibility, to earn money autonomously, and to be valued within their families and communities, the women of the group "Diambar" are here to request a loan from Kiva to strengthen their abilities. Once the funds are acquired, the women may buy goods (dishes, bowls, fruit, vegetables, clothing, shoes, cloth) at low prices and resell them at good prices in the marketplaces and particularly at religious ceremonies, such as the Prophet’s birthday celebration (le Gamou) in the cities of Tivaouane and Pir, since Mekhé is located close to these two outlying communities.
