Soam S., 23, is married and lives with her husband in Battambang province. She grows various kinds of vegetables and oranges and sells them at the market to earn approximately US$ 2 in profit every day, while her husband Horm Sokhum, 30, pictured here, is a construction foreman and makes US$ 6 a day. This couple has one little child. Mrs. Soam is asking a loan to purchase a motorbike for her husband to use for his commute to work. This will reduce the cost that he spends every day on public transportation.
