Van N. is 56 years old and lives with her husband and her children in Battambang province, Cambodia. She stays at home and with her husband, Siv San, 61, earns a living by raising pigs on a plot of land behind her house. This couple together make about US$ 4 every day. Four of their children are employed as garment factory workers, while two are in school. Mrs. Van N. would like to take out a loan to expand her livestock by adding more pigs and purchasing feed as well. (Mrs. Van N. and her husband were unavailable so her oldest daughter is pictured instead.)
