Chan S. is 36 years old and lives with her husband in Bati district, Takeo province. She weaves scarves in her home and sells them in the market, earning approximately $2 profit each day, while her husband Sek Kosal, 30, is a soldier who earns $40 in salary every month. The couple has two young children, one of whom is in school. Mrs. Chan S. is requesting a loan to purchase more silk with which to weave scarves.
