Toek
S. is 52 years old and resides in Kandal Province in Cambodia where he makes a living catching fish to sell retail at the market. He earns average of US$ 3 per day. He is married with five children: three are single and two are married. His wife, Touch, age 42, is a local mat maker, and she can earn approximately US$ 3 a day to help with the family's expenses.

S.'s business is running very well but recently he can't catch many fish because his fishing implements frequently are broken. Therefore he decided to ask for a loan as capital to buy more fishing implements such as nets and traps. Any remainder of loan will be used to buy raw materials for his wife's mat-braiding business.
