They really experience crisis in their family, especially with financial matters. It is not easy to raise 9 children, and they need to sacrifice and work very hard for them to be able to eat. She joined Paglaum on April 27, 2007, and the loan she availed was used to open a sari-sari store in front of their house. They generate income from this, and she is able to send some of her children to school.

Just this January 16, 2009, she got a loan of 14,500 for the purpose of expanding her sari-sari store business, and she wants to add more grocery items, school supplies and other items to her store.
