Mrs. Elvie P., married with 5 children, is 40 years of age and a resident of Danao, Plaridel, Misamis Occidental. They have a little fishing business from which they earn a meagre income. What challenges Elvie is living with a big family to feed. It's exhausting managing their business well, and she and her husband work in tandem to sell their catch at the nearest market. Sometimes, wholesale buyers from other towns and cities come to buy their fish. They want to save enough for their children's studies. They are assured of Paglaum’s help, should there be a need for working capital.

Full of hope, Elvie wants to expand her business. She wants to sustain it as this is their only means of income.
