She is married and the mother of five children: three are married and live away from the family home, and two are single and also help her grow vegetables. Her husband works with her in the farming business. Chea Y. works hard at her business activities every day and never wastes time. Growing vegetables is Y.'s main source of income to sustain her family. To help do the hard physical labor of her farming work, Chea Y. is requesting a loan to buy a pump to pump water onto her vegetable crop. She plans to use the remaining amount of the loan to decorate her house. (Y.'s son is pictured, because she was not available.)
