Mahmoud
Mahmoud is a 26-year-old man who lives in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon with his wife and their two children. Mahmoud has been a barber for seven years. He requested a loan of 1000 US dollars from Al Majmoua (Kiva's Field Partner) in order to purchase a barber's chair. This is the first time that Mahmoud has requested a loan.



Mahmoud hopes that the loan will help him increase his income. He is special in his work because he is the only barber in his village and he knows about modern haircuts. His clients are men and teenagers of the village.
