Ngwa
M. is married to Ngwa Florence Ngum and they have four children, three of whom are below 15 years of age. M. works hard to sustain the life of his family. He has encountered some challenges, such as ill health, lack of basic commodities to earn a living, and having to drop out of school. These challenges made life miserable for M. until 2006 when he learned aboout GHAPE and became a member.

M. received a loan of 20,000 FRS from GHAPE in 2006, and 200,000 FRS in 2007. He repaid these loans promptly.

With this loan, M. plans to buy piglets for 100,000 FRS, construct the pig pen for 50,000 FRS and buy fowls for 100,000 FRS. He is convinced the business will progress because of the experience he has had in the business, and because he already has a ready market for his products. His business will provide alternative sources of protein to his community.

He will start repaying the loan in the fourth month after he receives the money. He plans to use part of the the profit from the business to plow back in to his business, and part of it to pay for his children’s school fees. M. prefers to receive loans from GHAPE because of the training GHAPE offers before disbursing loans and the follow up that GHAPE does to ensure the loan is properly managed.
