Chhun K. is married to Mr. Hong Voeun, 35, who makes a living catching fish for sale and also is a local palm climber. With the palm climbing, he can tap palm juice from palm trees, boiling it to make palm sugar or turning it into palm wine for sale. He is currently earning an average of US$ 3 a day to help feed his family. The couple has two children; both of them are still under their care.
K. and Voeun are facing difficulties with their living conditions; their house is not so good and small for them, thus they have decided to ask for a loan to purchase wood to repair their old house and some material to use for climbing palm trees.
