Mrs. Khiev V. is 60 years old and a widow. She sells groceries and lives in Prey Chysak Village in the Kandal Province. She has seven children, four of whom are married and three live out of home independently. V. sells a variety of products from her house. She, alone sells groceries in this manner from her house and her business is going well. Her business is growing and V. would like to request a loan to purchase more grocery inventory for resale.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
