The “Pajchani” Association has been a part of the Pro Mujer Bolivia family for several years. The group is based in the Villa Tejada neighborhood of the city of El Alto and currently has 14 members. They have proven to be an organized group in terms of their loan repayments and internal activities. The majority of the group's members are married with school-aged children. Many have older children who have had to abandon their studies due to lack of economic resources. The group's current objective is to work more in order to generate enough income to pay for their children's education, thereby assuring them a better future.


Within the Association there are different businesses, including the sale of plastic folders and neighborhood shops. But, the main activity of the group is sewing and tailoring. They make “polleras” (traditional pleated skirts), jackets, ponchos, and other items which they sell in stands around the city.


The “Pajchani” Association will use this loan to buy the raw materials necessary to increase production. They will then be able to attract more customers and achieve greater earnings, helping them meet their ultimate objective of improving their economic situation.

La asociación denominada “Pajchani” forma parte de la familia de Pro-Mujer hace ya varios años, esta se encuentra en la zona de Villa Tejada, de la ciudad de El Alto, a la fecha cuenta con 14 socias que han demostrado ser un grupo organizado en cuanto a sus cuotas de crédito y actividades internas.
Dentro el grupo la mayoría son casadas y con hijos, casi todos en edad escolar y también universitaria, de los cuales muchos tuvieron que abandonar los estudios por falta de recursos económicos. Ahora el objetivo es, trabajar más para generar ingresos que les permita solventar los estudios académicos de sus hijos de esta forma asegurar su futuro.
Existen diferentes negocios dentro la asociación como ser; la venta de fólderes de plástico, otras tienen tiendas de barrio, pero la actividad principal es la costura y confección de ropa, elaboran polleras (vestimenta típica de algunas regiones), centros de pollera, chamarras, mantas y otros, terminados los trabajos los comercializan en distintos puestos de la ciudad.
La asociación Pajchani” afirman que necesitan mayor capital para la compra de materia prima para aumentar su producción, así obtendrían mayores clientes y por consiguiente mayores ganancias con el unico objetivo de mejorar la situación económica de sus hogares.
