Rufina

Rufina is 47 years old, single and lives with her two children, Janet 16 and Brolin 13. Worried about the well being of her small children, she got into the fish selling business which has supported her family for 13 years. Rufina travels to sell the fish. She generally sells silversides since there is more demand due to its scarcity. It is used in many dishes such as ceviche, fried food, etc. and many restaurant cooks look for it. It is difficult to get the fish. She has to wait long hours for delivery. This is Rufina's first loan with Microfinanzas Prisma. With the money she has requested, she will buy larger amounts of fish to sell and increase her income.

Rufina tiene 47 años, es madre soltera de dos niños, Janet de 16 y Brolin de 13 años, con quienes vive. Preocupada por el bienestar de sus pequeños hijos incursionó en el negocio de la venta de pescado, negocio con el cual viene manteniendo a su familia durante 13 años. Rufina vende el pescado de manera ambulatoria, generalmente pejerreyes, ya que estos tienen más demanda por su escasez y se usan en múltiples platos como en el ceviche, frituras, etc., los cuales buscan bastante las cocineras de los restaurantes.
