Mr. So S. is 73 years old , and his wife, Oun Noeun, is 62. They are residents in Kompong Tom Province. Mr. S. is a father of six children, four of whom are married and living away from home, and two are employed. The son is a fisherman, and the daughter is a garment worker at Phnom Penh Town.
Mr. S. and his wife have been farmers since 1979. They own farmland in their village, where they grow rice and vegetables. To alleviate the hard work of farming, Mr. S. has requested a loan to purchase oxen to help him plow the fields and a cart to transport his crops.

The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
