Mrs. Yi Y., 35, is married and lives with her husband and three children in the Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. She catches fish and makes fishing tools, earning $5 a day. Her husband, Yi Seng, makes $1 a day as a rice farmer. The weather conditions have been difficult for farming in Cambodia this past year and inflation has also been out of control. These factors have caused a difficult economic year for many Cambodians, Yi Seng included.
Mrs. Yi Y. would like to take out a loan of $1000 to purchase a motorbike and fish. They will use the bike to transport fish to sell at the market.
