Mrs. Srey C. is 40 years old, married, and has five children. Four of them attend secondary school, and one is married and lives away from home. Her husband, Chay Sokkom, is 35 years old and drives a motorcycle taxi.
Mrs. C. makes a living by selling chicken in the Pursat Market. She purchases chickens from a wholesale breeder that kills and plucks them, which she then sells at retail. Mrs. C. has applied for a loan to purchase additional chickens to resell and to purchase wood to fix up her house. The family resides in Svay Art Commune in the Pursat Province.
