Pomaah A. is married and has eight children, three of whom are still in school. She lives with her family in Obuasi, in the Ashanti region of Ghana. She is 62 years old. For the past four yeas, she has sold ladies and children’s clothing such as skirts, underwear, and slippers. She needs a loan to inject more working capital into the business. She believes the loan will help her to purchase good quality clothing so she can upgrade her inventory, and then she will be better able to provide for her three children who are still in school. She belongs to the community group called “Kristo Tease” (Jesus lives) Trust Group. Her picture was taken at a group meeting. In this group, members provide social collateral for one another to guarantee the repayment of loans. She is grateful for your assistance.
