Christmas season is fast approaching. Christmas lights, Christmas trees, and other Christmas decorations everywhere. Many will crave for foods that are popular during this season like "bibingka" (the famous rice cake).

Josephine is known as the best bibingka maker in their village. She is married to Ferdinand, who is a rice farmer. They are blessed with five children: Jennifer, 24 years old, a high school graduate, works as a family helper in Pangasinan; Joan, 23 years old and also a high school graduate, works as a helper in Manila also; Ferdinand Jr., 21 years old, works as a house carpenter; Albert, 12 years old, already a freshmen in high school; and Judy Ann, 9 years old, in grade three. They live in Minallo Naguillan, Isabela, which located a few kilometers away from the town center. The village is a small rural area with roads along the mountainside.

Aside from making the best bibingka in their town, she also makes good cassava cakes. Her business is doing great, but she wants to increase her revolving capital. So she is asking for a loan of $325 (15000 PHP). She plans to use the money to buy raw materials for making rice cakes like native rice, cassava, brown sugar, coconuts, cheese, and other ingredients. She also wants to purchase a motorized grinder to easily and quickly grind the rice and cassava. In addition, Josephine wants to purchase two heads of piglets for their backyard piggery. She plans to use the rest of the loan to repair of their house.
