Hanieh is a 48 year old single woman living in Bazourieh, Southern Lebanon, and has been working as a tailor since 2005. Hanieh first started selling textiles to her neighbors and friends. After several years, she wanted to open her own shop and shifted to tailoring. Today, Hanieh wants to borrow $1,200 to buy textiles and a sewing kit to provide a variety of products for her clientele.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
