Vicky owns her Internet café, located in Kicukiro, a suburb of Kigali. In her Internet café, she charges customers for using the Internet at a rate of about US$ 1 for an hour. In the café also, she does secretarial work for her customers and gets paid. Rwanda is becoming a communications hub for east and central Africa, so most people use the Internet.
Vicky is looking for a loan worth 500,000 Frws to be repaid in 8 months. The loan would be used to buy more paper, ink for printers, files, etc. and more internet broadband. Her dream is to buy more computers for her growing business.
