Mumtaz Akhtar baji is a 27-year-old lady and resides in a city named Vehari, Pakistan. Her husband's name is Manzoor Hussain, and he works in a factory. Mumtaz baji owns a two-room brick house and has been living in it for the past 30 years. Mumtaz baji’s brother also lives with her, and he has a motor bike rental business. He gives motor bikes on rent and charges people $2 per hour. Mumtaz baji is a seamstress and stitches clothes by charging $2 per dress. Her husband earns less income, and she shares her income with him so that he able to manage household expenses easily and doesn’t feel any pressure. She is applying for a loan to repair the motor bikes of her brother.

She is a group leader of a few more member in her locality. Saira baji wants a loan to buy wood to resell. Rukhsana baji wants a loan to buy another video game for her video game shop. Shumaila baji wants a loan to buy goats for her butcher shop. Samina baji wants a loan to buy wires for her electric shop. Rubina baji wants a loan to buy cigarettes to resell. Bashiran baji wants a loan to repair her auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle).

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
