Maricar
Maricar T. owns a "sari-sari" (little general store) in Southern Poblacion, Plaridel, Misamis Occidental. She is 47 years of age, married to Shandy, and gifted with 3 adorable children. Shandy is working but Maricar is helping the family out with her little store and a sideline of selling meat and poultry products. The store is continuously doing well with their neighbors as their potential market.

As Paglaum MPC is reaching out to its members to have micro-entrepreneurship training, Maricar is truly benefited. With the constant reminders of the cooperative, she is disciplined to pay her 10 loan cycles on time. The PHP 20,000 she has requested is guaranteed never to be defaulted.

Maricar dreams of growing her little "sari-sari" into a real grocery store. She also hopes to have her children get a good education. But she prays most of all that their business will last.
