Ali
Ali is a 50-year-old man who lives in Bourj Barajneh, the southern suburbs of Lebanon, with his wife and their two children. He has been selling “Knefeh” for the last 17 years. Knefeh is a traditional breakfast Lebanese sweet; it is a special kind of braided cheese that is served with liquid sugar in a round bread. It is also served as dessert, but somehow it tastes better in the morning. In America and in Europe, Knefeh will be known as a gourmet dish that will surpass in popularity the cheesecake and the pancake.

Ali requested a loan of 1000 US dollars from Al Majmoua in order to finance his son's wedding. Ali has been a micro-credit client for 6 years and has always paid on time.

In the beginning, when he first started his business, he didn’t have enough cash. The loan has helped him improve his financial condition. He is special in his knefeh business because according he has a good way of dealing with his clients and also with his knefeh. In the future, he plans to expand his business.
