Buen Encuentro Group
In this Group: Lastenia , Martha Elizabeth, Vilma
Hello, we are the Buen Encuentro group. We are all women and are very responsible with a lot of desire to better ourselves economically. In addition, we are all single mothers, as well as neighbors, and have a lot of experience in our daily business activities. Our group is comprised as follows:

Lastenia O.: I am the group coordinator and I have many years of experience selling bed linens. Currently, the sales are very good and I sell my product with payment in full and on credit. I need to have a lot of merchandise to be able to sell a lot during the Christmas period, since I have to place my orders to my suppliers which takes several days and I would like to have all my merchandise before December 10th in order to begin selling it.

Martha S.: She works making and selling mondongo soup as well as selling nacatamales (Central American tamales). She has her business in her house. She has many orders for nacatamales during the Christmas season, but she doesn't have the capital to purchase the material and for this reason she needs the loan; otherwise she will not be able to cover her clients' requests.

Vilma O.: She sells beauty products as well and bed linens. She also needs to purchase items to be ready for the Christmas season.

We all need the loan to make our businesses larger and thus earn good incomes.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
