Lut L., 33, is married and lives with her husband and three children in the Siem Reap province of Cambodia. Lut L. is a housewife, cooking food and looking after her children. She also owns a small business, raising pigs and growing rice. On average, Lut L. makes about US$4 per day, the same as her husband (pictured in the photo) who is a construction worker and earns income building houses. Currently, Lut L. is asking for a loan of US$1,000 to be able to purchase livestock and fertilizers for her farmland and raise more pigs. She believes that the loan will help improve her family's standard of living.
