Junie is 54 years old and lives in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur. He is married with 11 children of whom 9 are now adults and the other two are still of school age.
For the past ten years, Junie has been engaged in managing a vehicle repair shop together with his wife. He earns approximately PHP 10,000 each month doing this type of business activity. He has requested a loan to be used to purchase additional flux, copper and other accessories and materials for their vehicle repair shop business.
Junie has been a member of PMPC for 1 year and 6 months. In the future, Junie hopes to expand their vehicle repair shop business.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
