Rubina is a 29-year-old vigorous lady, separated from her husband and living at her brother's home.
She has been sewing clothes at home for many years. She sews for the people of her community and uses the generated income for supporting her entire family. She has been using a manual machine, now she wants to buy a profession sewing machine, which works automatically through electricity. So she can sew clothing on time.
However, due to lack of funds, she is unable to buy new sewing machine. For this reason, Rubina has requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner brac Pakistan. She intends to use this loan amount to buy a new sewing machine to create a means of increasing revenues so she may be able to generate a healthier source of income for her children.
She thanks Kiva and field partner, brac Pakistan.
