Antonieta is 50 years old and is very responsible with her household obligations, since she has always been known to provide the best for her family. She currently lives with her husband and three children. She manages a farm from which she earn a living. She and her husband work hard where they grow corn and beans.
Antonieta wants to increase sales. Consequently, she has requested a loan that will enable her to purchase seed, compost and fertilizer, among other items, so that she can continue to put bread on the table for her family.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
