Anyone who’s skeptical of the holistic or alternative medicine industries needs only to speak with Bahman for five minutes to be convinced of its efficacy. Bahman has impressed licensed medical doctors with his knowledge of anatomy and his ability to apply that knowledge to pain cases that conventional medicine has difficulty treating.
Bahman currently holds a license as a Holistic Health Practitioner and is working on his dissertation for a Ph.D. in Holistic Medicine. He has chosen to specialize in sport medicine and pain management, and is able to treat cases of frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis and range-of-motion issues using holistic methods rather than the approach called for in conventional medicine: invasive surgery.
Growing up in Germany, he began his career working at German engineering giant Siemens before tiring of corporate life and moving to the US twelve years ago. He eventually got into holistic health, and also works as a yoga instructor and conducts wellness seminars with doctors and other colleagues in the medical field.
Bahman will use his Kiva loan to purchase equipment, such as a UV lamp, precursor and a cold laser, that will help him better treat his patients. With the help of Kiva lenders, Bahman hopes to continue to help relieve his patients’ pain without the need for surgery, and thus help people lead richer, more rewarding lives.
