Michelle is single and she is working in a private company in order to make a living. She helped her parents by providing them a motorcycle used for transportation services. To improve the services she borrowed a new loan from GDMPC microcredit to buy spare parts and other accessories. She is planning to build a store in their village to let her parents manage while she is working. In the future, she wants to improve the general living situation of the entire family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
