Young Heriberto Ulloa is 24 years old and lives with his mother who grows coffee in Siguatepeque, Comayagua.
Currently, he is in his final year studying agricultural engineering at the National School of Forest Sciences.
Heriberto considers himself a honest, formal, responsible, intelligent and enterprising young man when confronting the daily challenges of living with high expectations of improving himself and developing towards the future.
His primary motivation to finish his academic studies is to have a higher education degree, which will empower his knowledge and, in turn, he will be able to develop himself in a professional way in the business environment.
Heriberto wants to contribute to his country's development, through the protection and sustainable management of the natural and renewable resources such as promoting reforestation and creating personal greenhouses which generate income for family well-being.
Since he was a boy, he has wanted to work conserving the environment and its natural species. He is happy to be able to do what he has always desired.
He believes that student support through loans helps the economy of each family.
In his plans, Heriberto wants to become a successful businessman, independently able to contribute to the sources of employment that these days is very difficult in Honduras.

Su motivación principal para culminar sus estudios académicos, es poseer su titulo de educación superior, que pueda facultar sus conocimientos y así pueda desempeñarse de manera profesional en el ámbito empresarial.
Heriberto desea contribuir al desarrollo de su país, mediante la protección y manejo sostenible de los recursos naturales y renovables de tal que se pueda promover la reforestación y creación de viveros personales que generen ingresos para el bienestar familiar.
Desde niño ha deseado dedicarse a la conservación del ambiente y sus especies naturales, se siente feliz de poder hacer lo que siempre ha anhelado.
Considera que el apoyo estudiantil, mediante financiamientos ayuda en la economía de cada familia.
En sus planes, Heriberto desea convertirse en un empresario exitoso, independiente capaz de contribuir a la fuente de empleos que hoy en día es muy difícil en Honduras.

Fundación CREHO (Honduran Foundation for Educational Loans) is a lending institution founded in 2002 in Tegucigalpa that focuses exclusively on student loans. It aims to be the leading private lending organization offering education loans in the country, contributing to the transformation of Honduras by supporting the training of qualified people.
Kiva funding will be used to support three different types of loans: university degrees, technical and vocational degree programs, and school supplies such as laptops and textbooks. Partnering with Kiva will allow Fundación CREHO to offer long-term, low interest loans with less stringent guarantee requirements to students who otherwise have almost no options to finance their education. Furthermore, at least one-third of Kiva funding will help the organization target students from low-income households and who lack the collateral generally required for these loans.
Please note that Fundación CREHO is a non-traditional Field Partner, in that they are a student lender, not a microfinance institution. Loans to students attending a university degree program may have terms up to 10 years and lenders should not expect to receive payments while the student is still attending the university (4-5 years). In addition, payment plans are uploaded to Kiva for the full tuition cost, however if for any reason the full amount is not needed to complete the degree program, the unused balance will be repaid to lenders as a pre-payment as early as possible.
