Alma was born in 1966 and she lives in a suburb of Doboj, Bosnia. She is married and has two children. Her husband is a construction worker, but even though he has a steady job, he still does not earn enough to support their family. As a result, Alma has a vegetable garden and she raises chickens, selling the meat in the local market.
Alma requests a loan of 1,000KM from Women for Women International that she will use to purchase additional chickens. She hopes the additional income from selling chicken meat will help her to provide a better life for her family.
