Sali
Sali was born in March 1980 in Bamako, the capital of Mali. She is 34 years old, mother to three children and lives in Fakola with her husband in a nuclear family. She began to be interested in income-generating activities at an early age, and in particular in the purchase and sale of clothing. She sells her products in Fakola, at the market at from home. With nine years of experience in this field, she collaborates with Soro Yiriwaso so she can expand her business and satisfy customer demand which is constantly growing; she is on her fourth loan. She plans to use this loan to buy 20 dozen sets of children's clothing and ten "pagnes wax" (pieces of brightly colored and highly decorative fabric). She gets her supplies in Fakola and Bamako and sells for cash and sometimes on credit. She has a mixed customer base. Sali hopes to make a monthly profit of 85,000FCFA, which will be used to provide for her family's needs, repay her loan and reinvest in her business.
