Mary is 45 years old and lives in the town of Entebbe in the Kampala region of Uganda. She is married and has 3 children, with 2 of them currently in school. For the past 7 years, Mary has been working hard to manage her hardware business, where she sells building materials like cement and iron sheets. To help expand her business, Mary has requested a loan of 2,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. This loan will be used to buy building materials like cement and iron sheets, which will help Mary to generate greater profits and start up another branch. Mary hopes that in the future, she will be able to expand her business.
