Kumbo is a married woman. She has 4 children, all of whom attend school. Together with her husband, they live in their own house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
She has operated a fresh water selling business for the past three years, selling from home to her neighbours. She faces a major challenge of seasonality, especially during the rainy season the business is low.
With the 20,000 KES, she wants to purchase gallons for her business. She dreams of expanding her business and establishing another business in the near future.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
