Hindu is 30 years old and lives in the town of Ggaba in the Kampala region of Uganda. She is married and has one child. For the past three years, Hindu has been working hard to manage her timber business, selling timber.

To help expand her business, Hindu has requested a loan of 3,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more timber and add chicks, and will help Hindu to generate greater profits and increase on profits. Hindu hopes that in the future she will be able to have more birds on the farm.

Hindu is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Hindu who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
