Faustine
Faustine is 38 years old and lives in the town of Makindye in the Kampala region of Uganda. She is married and has four children and three of them are currently in school.

For the past five years, Faustine has been working hard to manage her business, which sells charcoal.

To help expand her business, Faustine has requested a loan of 2,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more charcoal, and it will help Faustine to generate greater profits and provide essential needs. Faustine hopes that in the future she will be able to buy plots of land.

Faustine is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Faustine who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
