Susan
Susan is 28 years old and lives in the town of Bugembe in the Jinja region of Uganda. She is married and has one child.

For the past three years, Susan has been working hard to manage her stationery/soft drinks shop, which deals in photocopying materials.

To help expand her business, Susan has requested a loan of 3,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more sodas and photocopying paper, and it will help Susan to generate greater profits and boost the business. Susan hopes that in the future she will be able to expand the business.

Susan is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Susan who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
