Dan
Dan is 35 years old and lives in the town of Buwenge in the Jinja region of Uganda. He is married and has five children with three of them currently in school. For the past 10 years, Dan has been working hard to manage his drug shop, which sells drugs.

To help expand his business, Dan has requested a loan of 3,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more drugs, and will help Dan to generate greater profits and expand the business. Dan hopes that in the future he will be able to own a big clinic.

Dan is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Dan who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
