This loan is designed to help farmers and other workers finance a range of activities including cultivation, inputs, harvesting, processing and marketing of different agricultural produce. Shea nut pickers and processors in rural Ghana will use these loans to access funding to process premium quality nuts and butter for international buyers. The funding goes towards the purchase of equipment, labor, and working capital during the processing period. Grameen Ghana links the borrowers with international buyers in order to eliminate intermediaries and realize better value for their produce.
