The group Las Churonitas is made up of nine upbeat, determined women, all of whom live in and around the city of Cuenca. They are united by the common goal of strengthening their respective business endeavors and providing for their families. Cuenca is a city with great natural and architectural beauty, and since December of 1999, Cuenca has been a United Nations World Heritage Site. The people of the region still live out and maintain the cultures and traditions of their ancestors and heritage.

One of the group members is Blanca, who is 38 years old and is a single mother to her 8-year-old son, who is studying at a local school. Blanca and her son are currently renting the house where they live. In order to support her son and cover household expenses, Blanca runs a small convenience store where she works seven days a week. With the support from this loan, Blanca plans to purchase merchandise to stock her convenience store and offer a wider variety of products to her customers. Blanca's dream is to one day travel the world and see new places.

El grupo de crédito Las Churonitas está conformado por 9 socias quienes viven por los alrededores de la ciudad de Cuenca, les une una meta en común la cual es superarse en sus negocios y sacar adelante a sus familias, los miembros del grupo son personas positivas, alegres y luchadoras. Cuenca es una ciudad que tiene una belleza tanto natural como arquitectónica, es desde Diciembre de 1999 Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad, su gente mantiene la cultura y tradiciones de sus pueblos.
Una de las socias de este grupo es la Señora Blanca tiene 38 años de edad, está divorciada, en su unión conyugal ha concebido un hijo de 8 años que está estudiando en un colegio de la ciudad, la casa en la que vive es arrendada.
Doña Blanca pasa en casa al cuidado de su hijo, pero para solventar los gastos de la casa cuenta con su propio negocio, tiene una tienda de abarrotes en donde labora de domingo a domingo sin un horario fijo. El dinero de su crédito es para la compra de víveres para ampliar su negocio. Su sueño es viajar a diferentes lugares del mundo.
