The solidarity group "La Luz del Día" is made of three members, two men and one woman. They are responsible parents with 10 children under their responsability. They are originally from Sauce, a place that is located in the northern area of the region. They are characterized as being hard-working and responsible, with a desire to improve personally. Unfortunately due to lack of economic resources, they were not able to study. Currently they fight day by day to provide a better future to their children.

Thanks to her efforts and desire to move forward, the coordinator is Ninoska. She works selling cattle. The business is located in the house where she lives. The objective of the loan is to invest it in working capital and stock her business with the purchase of a cow so that in a future not very far away she will be able to obtain better income. In order to be able to achieve their dreams and goals, the solidarity group La Luz del Día is thankful for the help that the Kiva investors provide to people of scarce resources and from poor countries like Nicaragua, to have a dignified type of work.

El G.S La Luz del Día está conformado por tres integrantes dos varones una mujeres padres responsables de familia con diez hijos bajo su responsabilidad. Son originarios del Sauce lugar que está ubicado en la zona norte de la región. Se caracterizan por ser trabajadores, responsables con ganas de superación personal. Lamentablemente por falta de recursos económicos no pudieron estudiar, en la actualidad luchan día a día para brindarles un futuro mejor a sus hijos.
Gracias a su esfuerzo y sus ganas de salir adelante la coordinadora es Ninoska y tiene por actividad económica la venta de ganado, El negocio lo tiene ubicado en su casa de habitación. El objetivo del crédito es invertir en capital de trabajo y surtir su negocio con la compra de una res para que en un futuro no muy lejano pueda obtener mejores ingresos. Para poder alcanzar sus sueños y metas. El g.s. La Luz del Día agradece la ayuda que los inversionistas kiva les brindan a personas de escasos recursos y países pobre como es Nicaragua para tener un medio de trabajo digno.

This loan is administered by Fundación Leon 2000. Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere. Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise. Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth. Fundación Leon 2000’s group of experienced and dedicated employees works in 7 offices in Leon, Chinandega, Chichigalpa, Somotillo, Jinotepe, El Sauce, and Nagarote and serves several thousand clients (the majority of whom are women).
