What a blessing it is when parents pass down to their children the resources to help them forge a better future.

Que bendición es cuando los padres le heredan a los hijos los recursos para que éstos forjan un mejor futuro.

Es el caso de Gaspar, residente de Sololá, joven de 27 años, padre de una niña de tres años y una bebé de 11 meses quienes tendrían las mismas manos que segurirán forjando algún día la misma tierra que su padre.

Gaspar se dedica a la siembra de papa y de zanahoria que le productos que luego los vende en el mercado del pueblo.

El préstamo que él solicita es para la compra de insumos agrícolas como abonos, semillas, entre otros, para que de esta manera obtener una buena siembra y cosecha, y como resultado obtener buenas ganancias de un buen producto.

ADICLA (Association for the Holistic Development of the Basin of Lake Atitlán) is nonprofit rural community development association that provides small loans and services to improve quality of life in two of the poorest regions of Guatemala, home to large indigenous populations.
