From Batheay district, Kampong Cham province, Khy, 35, is an experienced and industrious farmer. He is a lovely father of one child who is enrolling in the primary school. By operating a farming business on a small rice field, he can earn around USD 4 a day to support his family's daily needs. So far, Khy has been involved in this career for 15 years.
To accelerate his farming process, Khy would like to get cows to help him for plowing the farm land, yet he can’t afford them. Due to the shortage of money, he would like to get a Kiva loan via HKL, since it has a low interest rate.
He also thanks all the lenders for their generous behavior.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
