Carmen
Carmen lives with her spouse and two children ages 2 and 11. She owns a business in her neighborhood selling items such as colognes, perfumes, clothing, shoes and others. This is her second business. Initially, she started selling pay-per-use cell phones, which she expanded by adding photocopy and internet services. This is now additional income for her. She has a small store where she sells in cash and credit from 7am to 7pm. Her main customers are also her neighbors. Her goal is to improve her business and open a second location in the future, so she can expand into a second floor in her apartment. Her biggest challenge is to win over the competition and make enough money to increase sales and revenue. Carmen is requesting for this loan from Kiva, through Mario Santo Domingo Foundation, to buy clothes, shoes, cologne, perfume etc. With this investment her customers will have better options and which, in time, will have an impact in her business and her success.
