Mauro
Mauro C. is 29 years old and married. A few years ago, he became a day laborer - working for others in their fields and being paid by the day. Unfortunately, this was not enough to support his family, so he turned to the Banco de Confianza for a loan. He invested that loan into raising chickens and did well for himself, using his profits to plant potatoes and strawberries in an unused portion of his property. With God's grace, he was able to harvest a healthy amount of both potatoes and strawberries. With this next loan, he will plant tomatoes, for which he will need to purchase seeds, fertilizer and pesticides. Mauro's 4 little children help him in their spare time, and he hopes to be able to give them an education with the earnings from his garden. He would like to see them become professionals and he hopes they will be able to help support him when they are older.
