Dorcus is a hardworking lady with one child, and she lives in Fort Portal, Uganda. She is in the retail and green leaf business. She started the business with the vision of stabilizing her income. She faces the hardship of low capital. But she still hopes to have a well established retail shop. Dorcus has asked for a loan to add stock of sugar, soap, cooking oil, pampers and g.nuts to sell.

This loan is part of HOFOKAM's program targeting poor and geographically excluded populations in Western Uganda. In addition to loans, it provides social and business training programs to low-income entrepreneurs and their communities. Since 2003, HOFOKAM has provided sustainable financial and non-financial services to promote social, economic and sustainable land development and improve the quality of life for vulnerable populations.
